When Sam contacted me all the way from Texas to ask me to photograph her proposal to her girlfriend, Annie, I was thrilled. Sam had heard about my work through her girlfriend and told me that Annie was a photographer herself, so it meant a lot to me that she wanted me to capture this special moment for them.
We worked together to plan everything, including my travel from Colorado to Texas. It was important to Sam that the proposal would be a surprise for Annie, so we had to be careful with our arrangements. Not only did I want to capture Annie’s reaction to the proposal, but I also wanted to surprise her by being there too.
On the day of the proposal, most everything went as planned. Sam popped the question, and the look on Annie's face was priceless. But what made it even more special was when Annie noticed me there, capturing the moment. She was genuinely surprised and thrilled to have me be a part of this important day.
After the proposal, we decided to explore a nearby vintage shop. It was a great way to keep warm and also gave me a chance to capture some sweet and intimate moments between Sam and Annie. The store provided a unique backdrop for their love and added a touch of nostalgia to the photographs.
Being able to be a part of such a surprise and capturing the joy and love between Sam and Annie was truly an honor. It's moments like these that remind me why I love being a photographer. I am grateful to both Sam and Annie for allowing me to be a part of their special day and for trusting me to capture their beautiful memories.
